On the handwritten original sheet music to this tune I had written the date on which it was composed.. the 24th of October 2009! In July 2008 when I turned up to Redford Barracks in Edinburgh to guest with the Black Watch Pipes and Drums for the Edinburgh Military Tattoo, Gary was tasked with looking after the young 16 year-old me! We very quickly became friends as we both had a love for Gordon Duncan’s music and we’ve tried our best to keep in touch ever since.
